Our job was to install power to this summerhouse come home office, situated a good 45 meters away from the main house. We Supplied the office with a 40A electrical power supply using heavy-duty 10mm SWA cable.
Now, let's talk aesthetics.
We get it, nobody wants ugly cables messing up the fung-shui inside their newly fitted out office. That's why we used PVC conduit on the outside for almost all of the wiring. Where neccessary at high level we clipped direct to the surface using FP200 round cable for a really clean finish.
We installed a brand new consumer unit to avoid any nuisance tripping between the house and the summerhouse and since this summerhouse is going to be used as a home office, we know it needs to be comfortable all year round. That's why we went the extra mile and set up an additional electrical supply dedicated to air conditioning.
